COWBOYS IN IRAQ

There are countless numbers of Cowboys in Iraq. Day to day they are making a difference in this Operation. They are Infantry, Cavalry, Ordnance, Engineers, and a sloe of other MOS’. They are Military Cowboys and Cowgirls who have “Answered the Call” of Americas cries.

What is it that keeps these Cowboys going day in and day out?
That’s easy to answer; it is the commodore of each other. They run in packs over here just like an inner city gang (without the violence). Over here they know that tomorrow could be there last day and it is much easier to grab onto your roots and make it known where you come from then it is in the states, where being a Cowboy isn’t cool. But here you want everyone to know that you’re a Cowboy. You demand that people over here know it.

Why, why now?

To some it could be the fact that they know not everyone will make it home alive and if they happen to be one of them they want everyone to know that they are country to the soul. With the news of back home about our borders it makes us feel helpless to defend our own backyard but we are defending all of Iraq.

How is this possible?

Why are the ACTIVE DUTY soldiers not on the Mexican Border, yes and with our Rifles? We as active duty soldiers are sworn to protect the United States of America against all enemies; Foreign and Domestic. This is the biggest treat to the United States since 9-11. We need to take a stand and protect every American Citizen against this giant wave of Illegal Aliens that will be swarming into the United States.

The Desert Cowboys were first started to show the positive side of not only the Cowboy but the military as well. It was started after we noticed no matter what President Bush was being bashed in the News as a rebel Cowboy. Well we were planning on showing the positive side of him and of the Cowboy and the military. But the last few decisions have put even the military against some of his decisions. I for one will always stand behind our President. This is my job as a military member. But, I do not have to always agree with every one of his decisions.

Some that I have stood up and spoke out against was:

First: Selling our Port Security to an Arab Security firm. Luckily this was beaten without too much of an effort.

Second: Is not closing our Borders and allowing a Guest Worker (which means amnesty) program for Illegal Immigrants. This one is a subject that everyone in America even those in the Military need to stand up and voice there opinion on.

Third: Having our soldiers put up for public trials. Most of these are done to help smooth over relationships between foreign countries. People need to realize that we are at WAR and that isn’t going to change. We are at War people the sooner you realize that the better off we are going to be.

What Country would invade the United States and not take away all of our weapons? Please help me out America I need to know the answer to this one. Why are the Iraqis still allowed to maintain their AK-47’s? They are using them against our forces. Why are we having such a hard time keeping the peace in Iraq? Rhetorical questions don’t need an answer. I would just like to know who made the decision to let them keep their weapons. Why not take away every single weapon from the Iraqis and give them back when we leave this country?

America Please help defend my family while I am away. Please help defend my backyard until I can return. Please help defend my country so I can have a country to return home to. Please help defend my rights to bare arms while I allow the Iraqis that freedom. Please stand up on your convictions of what is right and wrong. No longer is it someone else’s fault that something went wrong because you didn’t vote. You all need to stand up and draw a line and tell no one to cross it. I am sorry that we could not be on the border tonight to protect you so you can sleep tight.

When you think of our families back home you think of people worried sick to their stomachs because they are watching the news about Iraq. But the exact opposite is happening here. We are worried sick to our stomachs that we may not even have an America to return home to. Our families are not safe back home.

Please America be safe until we return.
