Walk for Freedom is a yearlong community wide event to raise awareness and support for deployed Soldiers. The program starts January 6, 2006 and ends January 5, 2007. The goal of this event is to walk 8,000 miles in support of deployed Soldiers. If you were to travel 8,000 miles, it would take you to Iraq. Sign-up as a team or as an individual. Earn mileage by participating in other sporting / exercise activities or by attending certain Fort Sill events. Each quarter, the leader in mileage will be recognized and earn prizes. To register, stop by one of the Fort Sill MWR Fitness Centers and pick-up your registration packets. Also, drop off your mileage at one of Fort Sill MWR Fitness Centers: Rinehart, Goldner or Honeycutt.
Progress charts will be posted at the Fitness Centers and also at www.sillmwr.com
