WHAT IS A DESERT COWBOY?

The Desert Cowboys are made up of Men and Women in the United States Military (Active - Reserve - National Guard), DOD Civilians, Law Enforcement Agents, Fire Fighters and all Veterans (who have been honorably discharged) who have been involved with the fight of Terrorism, since 9-11-01.

They are (or have been already) over in the Desert to tame the Middle East (Desert Storm - Operation Iraqi Freedom - 9-11). Some are heading out for their first time, some are on their second, third, forth and even fifth rotations. Filled with American Pride these American Cowboys have left their Ranches, Farms and homesteads to protect the rest of America against all enemies Foreign and Domestic. Just like Cowboy Legends of yesteryear these Famous Cowboys - Famous Cowgirls will go down in history as some of the greatest Patriots that America has ever had through out her history.

Just like the Cowboys of the olden days who had a mission of taming the Wild-Wild-West, it took the Cowboy to ride out on his horse to bring law and order to a desolate land. The new Urban Cowboy warfare that has been called for during this fight on Terrorism will show that the American Cowboys are as adaptive and resourceful today as he was in the 1800s. American Cowboy Pride is alive today in these Men and Women.

For centuries we have heard "Peace in the Middle East". Now that America has answered this call not everyone is pleased that we have. Well all of these young Men and Women are proud to do their Patriotic Duty and fulfill their obligations to serve during this time of crisis.

The Desert Cowboys have a mission to tame the wild lands of the Middle East instead of the west and will do it with pride. These Military Cowboys, American Patriots, who have decided to lay their lives in harms way so that all Americans can sleep peaceful at night and go about their daily business. If you are going about your 9-5 job, sitting at home surfing the net, checking your email, eating dinner, cleaning the house it would be thanks to the many men and woman who are at this very moment pulling guard duty, conducting raids, securing weapons caches and are deployed thousands of miles away from there own families. There is also the side of Law Enforcement Agents and Fire Fighters who are also on the front line everyday placing there lives in harms way and we have included all of these brave Cowboy Crew Fighters in this category due to this.

The Desert Cowboys all "Ride with Pride" because they know "Freedom isn't Free" and they are "Answering the Call" of America's cry for help; their numbers are growing faster than the expansion of the great American West. Many members of the Cowboy Crew have joined together to make this sanctioned chapter of the Cowboy Crew, the Desert Cowboys.

Remember America have pride in not only America but the Military, Law Enforcement Agents, Firefighters, Veterans and the Cowboys who serve in them.

HOW DO I BECOME A DESERT COWBOY?

The first thing you have to do to become a Desert Cowboy is to simply join Cowboy Crew. Not all Cowboy Crew members are Desert Cowboys but all Desert Cowboys are Cowboy Crew members. The next step is to be either a Man or Woman in the United States Military (Active - Reserve - National Guard), DOD Civilian, Law Enforcement Agent, Fire Fighter, or a Veteran. Then you need to send an e-mail to DesertCowboys@CowboyCrew.com and request membership into the Desert Cowboys.

All Veterans who have been Honorably Discharged are eligible to become Desert Cowboys, regardless of age. Without Veterans we would not even have the chance to create the Desert Cowboys. So we Thank All Of You, who have come before us and we are proud to add you in our ranks.
